i am new in joomla and i found it user friendly. however i encounter some problems. could you be help to solve some of them?

here's one: i want to have a forum in my site. (just like yours). i tried using fireboard. but there seems to be a problem on it. i downloaded and installed it. but when i go to forum administration these problem shows:

DB function failed with error number 1054
Unknown column 'g.group_id' in 'on clause' SQL=SELECT a.*, a.name AS category, u.name AS editor, g.name AS groupname, h.name AS admingroup FROM jos_fb_categories AS a LEFT JOIN jos_users AS u ON u.id = a.checked_out LEFT JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS g ON g.group_id = a.pub_access LEFT JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS h ON h.group_id = a.admin_access GROUP BY a.id ORDER BY a.ordering, a.name

what seems to be the problem?

This isn't really a Joomla problem, but a problem with Fireboard. I've never used Fireboard before. This site uses Joomlaboard.

Having said that, the error message is indicating that one of the queries in the Fireboard code is referring to a column in a database table that doesn't exist. That probably means the installation didn't work the way the extension author intended it to work.

Beyond this, I'd have to look at the code to find out where that query was issued, which is a very time-consuming process. I suggest you send an email to the author or visit his website/forum and post a message there about your problem.

i searched for joomlaboard. but i cant see forum builder in there...

i wanted to have a forum, does joomlaboard have this? what would you suggest that i'll do to have a forum?
